Today we're bringing you answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about our RGB colour LED Strip Lights.

What does RGB mean?

RGB refers to the three primary colours (red, green and blue) used by the SMD LEDs on our colour changing strip lights.

You sell two types of RGB colour LED Strip Light: 30 LED and 60 LED. Which do I need?

It depends. Where are you installing the strip lights and what sort of effect are you trying to achieve? For most installation the 30 LED will be sufficiently bright to create the effect you are looking for. However, with the 60 LED you can double the brightness and really up the ante. It is worth bearing in mind however that the 60 LED requires twice as much power.

How many colours are your RGB Colour LED Strip Lights capable of?

Our RGB colour LED Strip Lights can produce 16 different colours, including white.

Can I leave your RGB colour LED Strip Lights on a single colour or do they always have to be changing colour?

You'd be surprised how often we get asked this question. It is possible to set your colour strip lights to a single colour and leave them. They don't always have to be changing colour, unless you want them to.

What other effects can I achieve?

This largely depends on the type of controller you use, but, generally speaking, you will be able to set your strip lights to strobe, fade slowly from one colour to the next and jump between different colours, all of which have variable speed functions.

Which RGB controller should I use?

We offer a wide range of controllers for use with our RGB colour LED Strip Lights. By far our most popular controller is the RGB Colour Touch Controller. However, we also offer an Infra-Red remote, a music controller and even a DMX control option.

The type of controller you use will depend on a number of factors, including the size of your installation, its location and the level of control you want.

How easy is it to set up your RGB colour LED Strip Lights?

Setting up your strip lights is quite straight forward. The strip lights plug into a unit called a controller which in turn links back to a 12v power supply, either a plug and play power adapter or an LED driver depending on your installation.

Can I change the brightness of my RGB colour LED Strip Lights?

Yes. You can dim your strip lights using the dim function on the RGB controller.
